Fei Kay Dry Bah Kut Teh

After the king of the road trials... i finally get my dangled carrot..

Bah Kut Teh, whats there not to like.... Pork.. in thick tasty soup.. :) The dry bah kut teh which Fei Kay serves... its actually like a dry stew pork... with ladies finger, dark dark soy sauce, a ton of dried chili and finally the "Pièce de résistance" very very thinly sliced dried cuttlefish.. all this fried &cooked to perfection with pork. Its a very tasty & good complement to plain ol' rice served up with lots of fried shallots... Just writting about it makes my mouth salivate..

All this is still served up with the original souped bah kut teh... as BKT is very individualistic... there are always many many different styles, & preferences... i say to each our own .. i like the thick Klang style soup... hope you have the time to try it and agree with me...

Damm... gotta run more to burn off the BKT... *slurrppss*

Porky Porky Noodles..:)

If you continue to read my blog, specially on my pursuit on food ... you will realize that i love love love Pork....

From the crispy fried skin of the pork lard, to the BBQ honey glazed (char siew), specially the roast pork(siew yok)..this list goes on and on.. N.B spare parts.. i only take the stomach..

To cut my drooling on pork short i would like to recommend what i would call daily grub.. food we can eat for normal price.. thats specially porky and taste very nice

Located just next Subang Jaya Taipan USJ.. Its located at Restaurant Tien Tien Fatt @ Penang Pork Mee stall..introduced to me by a good friend of mine..

Regular priced.. At time of posting rm 5.30 for a big bowl, picture above.. Dry mince pork noodle with chinese flat noodles(hor fun)... notice the fried lard & the lovely swirls of dark sauce... simply heavenly :). Served with a bowl of murky (but ever so tasty) pork soup, with pork balls & sliced pork.. the soup is specially tasty because all the meat and liver, is cooked in it, thus releasing the full porky flavor...

Gotta have it....

King Of the Road

Yikes... I went to check out the route for the Shah Alam, Adidas King Of the Road today.....quite a lot of slopes also.... hills *sweat sweat*

See i have been a honey moon runner... because i have been training on relatively flat ground... looking at all the slopes ... i really have to incorporate.. up hill and down hill training... apparently... up and down uses different kind of muscles.. according to Runners World :).. Up hill causes stress on the shins. Downhill on the glutes..

the 10K route is the red line...

King Of the Road... I wish..

Time to hit the trail..

We're going the distance

Pushing the fat body... i did it, 8 laps 68:08 mins of the Kiara valley lake.. located in Tmn Tun...

It was not the ideal full running... but alas.. i pushed my body to take 8 kilometers..As i build up my stamina for the 10 Kilometer run, i try to run continously for at least 25 minutes (3kilometer). Take a 3 minute brisk walk break then run for another 25 minutes & continue back and forth till i complete 8 laps..

See fat people like me .. are not built like the kenyans/athletes who complete 1 kilometer below six minutes. My best time to date is a 7:30 minutes/kilometer. In fact the alternate day running to which i am training...hopefully will take me through my first run. The weather is trying very hard to sabotage my fat sweating efforts.

Training real hard for the Adidas King of the Road... Shah Alam on August 10th..

Run...on !!

And here its how it all started*Asics Kayano 14*

When you reach the milestone of 30 years young... the metabolic rate slows down & the weight just keep on pilling up (to a whopping 101KG) its when you wake up & resolve to live a healthier life...

Its always been a struggle... to be healthy... live right and eat right ... but now i want to make a resolve to run for as long as i am fit and able..

See due to the price of these excellently engineered shoes... i was very very reluctant to purchase them ... but my partner/motivater saw otherwise... the gift was the most wonderful piece of engineering of my running ensemble.. its the easiest step... of my many many kilometers of sweat and toil....

However ... without the Kayano 14's my weight would have killed my knees/shins/ankle/hip...and the list goes on ....

and now we run .. me and my Kayano's ..
